PADUCAH, KY  — Gondolier Pizza International, Inc. recently announced the grand opening of its newest brick-and-mortar location in Paducah, Ky.

Located across from the Sam’s Club on Jordan Drive in Paducah, the the new Gondolier Italian Restaurant and Pizza officially opened its doors to the public on Wednesday, Jan. 28, following two successful “Friends and Family” open houses on Monday and Tuesday.

The new restaurant is a joint venture between Gondolier Franchise Systems, Inc. and entrepreneur Polo Castaneda. This is the second time the two have joined forces to expand Gondolier’s distinguished brand of family dining and Italian Cuisine to new communities throughout the Southeast.

Castaneda, who has worked with Gondolier in various capacities for more than 26 years, also partnered with the company in 2005 to launch Gondolier’s Cedar Bluff location, one of the three Gondolier restaurants currently operated in the Knoxville, Tenn., area.

Castaneda said he was excited to introduce Paducah locals to Gondolier’s extensive menu of classic Italian — “with a contemporary edge” — along with its commitment to excellence in customer service, hallmarks of the Gondolier brand since its founding in 1974 by CEO Bill Sioutis.

“Given the huge success we’ve had with Gondolier in a competitive market like Knoxville, not to mention to immensely positive reception we continue to receive from the Knoxville community, I’ve been eager to expand my own investment in Gondolier to other cities,” Castaneda said. “Paducah’s citizens have welcomed us with open arms, and I’m excited to introduce them to Gondolier’s unique brand of family dining.”

Sioutis said he was confident that in Cataneda’s hands the new Paducah location would represent another success in company’s recent growth spurt in the Southeast.

“Polo has a talent for truly getting to know the communities and people that Gondolier serves,” Sioutis said. “Our business partnership thrives on the very personal relationship that Polo builds with his customers.”

The new Gondolier Italian Restaurant Pizza in Paducah is located at 451 Jordan Drive and is open 11 a.m to 10 p.m. from Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Gondolier Italian Restaurant and Pizza offers more than 50 menu items above and beyond its popular white and red pizzas, from its extensive selection of salads, oven baked subs and pita wraps to calzones, Stromboli and other traditional Italian entrees and Greek specialties.

100% of the proceeds received through Gondolier Paducah’s pre-grand opening events will be donated to the Easter SEALS of West Kentucky, which offers work assistance services for mentally challenged young adults.
